Projects overview

·

The Projects module lets you run multi-step engagements that are bigger than a single ticket — onboardings, migrations, rollouts — while keeping budgets, phases and tasks in one place. Open it from the Projects item in the main navigation.

What a project tracks

Each project carries a unique project number, a name and description, and an optional link to a company, a contract and a project manager. You can record a start date, end date, a budget in hours and a budget amount.

Status workflow

Projects move through five statuses:

  • Planning (the default for a new project)
  • Active
  • On hold
  • Completed
  • Cancelled

The project list shows a count for each status and can be filtered by status and by company.

Phases and tasks

Work is broken into phases (optional groupings) and tasks. Tasks can be assigned to an agent and each has its own status: todo, in_progress, blocked or done. A project's progress percentage is calculated automatically as the share of tasks marked done.

Time and budget

The project detail page summarises logged time (hours booked against the project) against the budget hours, so you can see how much of the estimate has been consumed.
