Managing services and pricing
Managing the catalog requires the relevant service catalog permissions (create, edit and delete).
Create a service
- Under
Admin › Service Catalog, choose New service. - Enter a name (required) and any description, icon, category and estimated days.
- Set the ticket defaults — priority, category, auto-assign agent, and type/subtype/item.
- Choose a visibility (defaults to restricted) and save. You are taken straight to the field builder.
Build the request form
On the Fields page, add fields by choosing a type and a label (required). Dropdown, radio and multiselect fields take an options list; checkbox lists can show quantities and an “other” option. Mark fields required as needed, add placeholders or help text, and configure conditional show/hide rules. Fields can be edited, deleted and drag-reordered.
Company assignments
For a company-specific service, open Assign and tick the companies whose contacts should see it.
Activate, deactivate, delete
- Toggle a service to activate or deactivate it without losing its configuration.
- Delete removes a service — but system services cannot be deleted.
On pricing: the Service Catalog defines request forms and ticket defaults, not line-item prices. Product and service prices (unit cost and unit price) live in the Stock & inventory module.
