Invite your team (add agents)
Agents are your staff users. Add them so your technicians can log in and work tickets.
Open the new-agent form
An Admin or Super Admin goes to Admin → Users and chooses New (the form is at /admin/users/new).
Fill in the agent
- Name and email — required; the email is the login.
- Role — required. Pick from the built-in roles such as Technician, Dispatcher, Manager, Billing, Admin, or Read Only. Only a Super Admin can assign the Super Admin role.
- Phone and job title — optional.
- Timezone — defaults to
America/Chicago. - Require 2FA — optionally force the agent to set up two-factor authentication.
Hand off the credentials
When you save, SummitPSA generates a temporary password and displays it once on the next screen, along with the agent's email. Give these to the new agent securely.
New agents are flagged to change their password at first login, so the temporary password is single-use.
First login
The agent signs in at the login page with their email and the temporary password, is prompted to set a new password (and, if required, to set up 2FA), and then lands in the app with the access their role grants.
